Support Khordong Byangter Monastery

To prevent the decline of Buddhist teachings in general and especially those of his own tradition, Chhimed Rigdzin Rinpoche had for a long time the wish and vision to build his own monastery in India where retreats and study should be done.

The main goal of Khordong Byangter Monastery - a beautiful gompa with vast lands and potential, set in the Indian plains of West Bengal, close to Darjeeling and Sikkim- is to protect and spread the teachings of this lineage which was taught by Padmasambhava and rediscovered in the 14th and 19th century by the tertons Rigdzin Godem and Nuden Dorje Drophan Lingpa.

There are many ways you can participate in the fulfilment of Chhimed Rigdzin Rinpoche and Tulku Ugen Chencho's vision for the Khordong Byangter Monastery and Lineage including:

Gift of Prayer: Request for Puja

Many Pujas (ritual prayers) can be performed at the Gompa according to the needs of our lives, such as  Puja for the auspicious start of a business, puja for the sick, puja for the deceased and so on. Some rituals may require more organisation than others.

If you wish to have any puja performed for yourself or for people you know, please send us an email expressing briefly the reason for the request and you will be advised directly by Tulku Ugen Chencho on which puja and rituals are best to be performed according to your request. Rituals can be made in an extensive or limited way depending on your capacity and wish.

There is no set fee but the total and detailed cost will be given to you (holy offerings, donation and food offerings for the monks, donation for the gompa, etc).

For those of you who wish to be married according to the Buddhist tradition, wedding ceremonies can be organised at the gompa.

It is also possible to offer Prayer Flags that will be put on the gompa grounds and which will send countless blessings to beings: Mani Lungta or Five Colours Lungta.

You can also practice compassion by making a donation for our Tse Thar practice in order for Khordong Byangter Monastery to release lives

Please contact us and we will give you the details. Write your name, first name, address, phone number, email and specify the object of your donation.
